So….where does this story start.  Now you have all heard of the awesome benefits and effects that pomegranate has on your body and skin and as a father of 2 little munchkins and not forgetting my 12 nieces and nephews, I always wondered how I could get them to glow more than they already do.  Reading about all these nasty and harmful chemicals that a lot of these skin care products already have, I started to dig my heels into the ground and researched other products which did not have any of the SLES, SLS, parabens and all the other nasty chemicals.  I realised I needed a team if I was going to make a change and so I gathered some other daddy’s who were on the same page.

We then decided to do some boring case studies and some surveys and then some more surveys until we were absolutely certain that we needed to change the game here.  I mean who doesn’t want to know what is being absorbed into their child’s skin…them little baby boos don’t have the slightest idea what their skin is eating – but they do get happy when the smell all them fruity ARTIFICIAL fragrances.

Back Pack On and Off we go….

So, after some research and the decision that we wanted to create something special, we decided to ask some fruity professionals where on the earth would we find the most organic pomegranates that we could squeeze to add to our products……and the answer was none other than the foothills of the Himalayas.  We was a start up so one of the ‘Pom Daddy’s’ had that light bulb moment and sourced Raw Organic Pomegranate Oil which was derived from the Himalayas.  The decision was final, we was going to give birth to a natural skin care range which was organic (Certified of Course). And so the ‘Pom Mummies’ and the ‘Pom Daddies’ sat for days on end and decided to call their first born range….’POMBABY’…(still brings the tears to my eyes).

The Technical Stuff.

We knew that launching a range wasn’t easy and now that we had committed, we had to tick every box.  So we all emptied our piggy bank jars and a a bit more and formulated an Organic Shampoo, Organic Body Wash, Organic Lotion and an amazing Organic Repair and Relief Balm.  One of the ‘POM Daddies’ sprinkled a little magic dust and told us it was great for skin conditions such as Eczema.  Did we believe him……..of course not. So we had all the products sent to some huge laboratory to have it tested.

RESULT

So at the lab… there was around 36 daring people with skin conditions who had to put our lotions and washes on their skin and was told to leave it on for 48-96 hours.  That had to be the longest wait in our lives….the nail biting, watching the paint drying and not forgetting motivational speeches…aaaahhhh the motivational speeches ( ok, I’ve started to drift now).  So it was time, the phone rang, the dermatolgist and paediatrician called and told us the best news ever…..“Our products actually surpassed their expectations and all products performed exceptionally well”.  Naturally, I wanted this in writing so they sent all the reports and it was official.  ‘POMBABY’ suitable for sensitive and Eczema prone skin, Dermatologist and Paediatrician Approved.  I couldn’t hold back the tears…3 daring daddies, explored the neverland and launched this new, exciting and beneficial brand…’POMBABY’.
